This is a clinical trial of about 36  months to evaluate the long term effectiveness and cardiac safety of patients with moderate to very severe COPD and a history of heart disease.

• Ages greater than or equal to 40
• Must have a diagnosis of COPD and a history of cardiovascular or cerebrovascular problems or have signs of cardiovascular risk
• Must have 1 documented COPD exacerbation within 1 year prior to the first study visit.
