This is a 26 week study to investigate the efficacy of daily administration of an oral medicine for patients with Mild to Moderate Alzheimer’s Disease.

• Ages 66-90
• Must have a caregiver available to come to all study visits with the patient and to observe their daily intake of study medication
• Must not have any other disease or reason for dementia other than Alzheimer’s disease
• Must be living at home or in an assisted living facility.  Cannot be living in a nursing home
• Must not have any other major health issues (gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, psychiatric) and must be able to ingest oral medication also to be able to eat a meal prior to ingesting the medication
